DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

The short film “Libidinis” was made for the exhibition “Skin” (Wellcome Trust, London), organized by Javier Moscoso, professor and researcher of Philosophy. The aim of that exhibition was to show the human skin as a humanistic study object. In that context, this animated film was designed using the skin as a metaphor which means that skin is only the last layer of the body, and that to discover the character and the mind of people is necessary to watch deeper. In order to express that, “Libidinis” (which in Latin means desire) depicts a man and a woman uncovering each other, taking off their skin as an intimate act.
